MINUTES FOR THE SPRINGFIELD RETIREMENT BOARD MEETING
70 TAPLEY STREET, SPRINGFIELD, MA 01104
HELD ON JULY 28, 2016 AT 5:00 P.M.

Present: Robert Moynihan, Patrick Burns, Thomas Scanlon, Haskell Kennedy, Philip Mantoni, Attorney Alfredo ViVenzio, Executive Director Susana Baltazar, Attorney Joseph Donnellan, and Matthew Cincotta.

Agenda Item #1 – MGL Chapter 32 Section 91A
The Chairman stated that four disabled retirees were not in compliance with M.G.L. c. 32, section 91A (failure to submit certain information to P.E.R.A.C.). The Director informed the Board that all the Retirees were notified of this meeting and the various issues for not complying.

Based on the information provided by the Director, Brian Albano, Rosemary Cotton-Coleman, V. Van Johnson, and Carmen Roldan, have not complied with the 91A requirements. A motion was made by Kennedy to allow an extension of time to file the documents to P.E.R.A.C. by August 10, 2016. Second by Scanlon and voted unanimously.

Agenda Item #2 – Accidental Disability – Matthew Cincotta/Fire Department
Attorney Joseph Donnellan presented additional information and addressed the Board requesting clarification from the medical panel. Upon the Board’s review of the information, a motion was made by Scanlon to request the clarification from the medical panel based on the additional medical information presented to the Board which will also be submitted to the medical panel, second by Kennedy and voted unanimously.

Motion made by Mantoni to adjourn at 5:15 P.M. second by Kennedy and voted unanimously.
